South Africans and nature-lovers from around the world can now go on a virtual South African safari, exploring 170 trails in the country's 19 national parks and dozens of nature reserves on Google Street View, thanks to the hard-work of over 200 South African volunteers.
South African Tourism, the country's national tourism authority, collaborated with Google's Street View Camera Loan Program partner Drive South Africa, to coordinate a crowdsourced project that ran over 18-months in 2016 and 2017.
The project included the collection of Street View imagery using Google's 360-degree backpack camera (the Google Trekker), video production, social media and YouTube campaigns, and a highly successful launch media campaign that earned over 300 pieces of digital, print, radio and TV coverage.
The project forms part of South African Tourism's strategy to stimulate domestic tourism amongst the rapidly growing middle class.
"Kyiv City Guide" is a mobile application that will guide you through the most famous locations of Kyiv at the convenient for you time. In a short period of time a guest will plunge into the capital of Ukraine in all its various faces.
The application includes both full-day tourist routes as well as thematic routes lasting from 1 to 3 hours. You will be audio-accompanied by professional guides who have the most subtle knowledge about every corner of this mysterious, but at the same time modern city. For your convenience, the application is available in two languages: Ukrainian and English.
Also what is unique about the Application, it enables the guest to create his own route, which in not possible with other applications. When using the application – the guest may make pictures on the route, share them with friends, leave comments. Important that the Application works even off-line, when where is no Internet connection. After the trip one can use this application to call a taxi.
Now, there are more than 10 000 downloads. And you can choose additional options: add the metro stations, embassies, locations using KYIV PASS card. Also recently we have added a new function – “Event Calendar”, that is a guest may monitor all the most tourist attractive events of the city. The App is quite popular will locals as well as with the guests of Ukraine and Kyiv.
Las Vegas is a brand and destination of excitement and intrigue − all about opening doors and creating new, out-of-this-world experiences. Vegas: Alter Your Reality is the creative interpretation of the Vegas experience from the minds of five artists, and the first and only destination virtual reality art program. The five two-minute 360 videos were first shared during a four-day activation at Miami Art Week. Ninety-four percent of attendees watched all five experiences, spending over 10 minutes of uninterrupted brand immersion. There were 11,837 total views in the VR headsets, and 23,662 minutes were spent viewing the five two-minute experiences. During the activation, there was increased visitation to the Visit Las Vegas website; 61 percent more visits than normal. The program, in its entirety, made 11.9 million total impressions and 232 total placements. Aside from the numbers, the overall tone from those who experienced the creative was positive − many of them shared that they loved the experiences, watched several times, and left with a different view of Las Vegas.
Walk On Walk Off - Flexible Tour Pass. Walks created a flexible walking tour pass that doesn't require pre-booking, a completely paperless QR code solution. You simply join pre-planned tours based on the departure agenda and meeting points. It creates a gateway product for visitors who don't necessarily want to over-plan or spend too much time in any one area. 60-90 minute tours are lower commitment, and the flexibility allows for the guest to personalize their experience. The project utilized a new online learning management solution, a slack logging integration, multiple internal and partner API integrations, "straight to gate" ticketing technology with OTA partners, and data logging to indicate tour performance and identify redemption patterns.
Miral aims to transform YAS Island into a world-class destination, redefine leisure and entertainment through a welcoming, exhilarating and memorable escape. YAS Island Vision for 2022 is to reach 22 million annual visits, opening of four new theme parks, to become one of the top 10 global touristic destinations, hosting globally renowned sports and event and pioneering gaming and tech. Miral realized that seamless guest experience is an integral part of the transformation and a core necessity to achieve the YAS Island vision.
In 2016, Miral decided to start a digital transformation project to create an integrated guest experience which will be at the heart of YAS Island vision. Miral reviewed the existing and future digital capabilities that will help to promote the theme parks, tourist attractions and other assets in the Island. Miral needed to design and build a technology platform that can power the experience of the guests when interacting with the different assets within the Island.
The program includes building new experience platform for B2B and B2C websites, mobile applications, upgrade of CRM solution, implementing a 360 degree customer views, social media management and integration, frictionless identity and identity management and the required infrastructure to achieve that.
